MK Seminar 2011~ MK Headquarters

I had the opportunity to tour the Mary Kay Headquarters. It was really awesome. There's a museum. And we got to go through the corporate offices. And I got to see Mary Kay's office. It was awesome. I loved it. :)

Me and Joni outside the building with the MK sign.

I think this was my favorite thing in the museum. Lol

MK's office. They've kept it the way she left it all these years. :)

Seminar! Area Night

Each National Sales Director has a night for their area. I had such a blast! We had entertainment (which was great) and the food was to die for! I'm so blessed to have the NSD that I do. She's an amazing woman.

My dress for the evening.

Oh heaven! This cheesecake was phenomenal! It was infused with orange and had shots of chocolate in it. And then it had the raspberry and chocolate drizzled on it. I still dream about that cheesecake. Lol

Beautiful Lori (my sales Director) and Wonderful Nina

Seminar!

At the Convention Center, they had this big room for us to eat our meals in. It was amazing how organized it all was. I can describe it best by saying they herded us like cattle. Lol. Seriously, we walked in the door and they ushered us to the next table and it was all done seat by seat, row by row, table by table. Completely organized. I thought it was awesome.

I knew that this was going to be an amazing experience. But I did not expect all of this. The arena was huge, the stage was magnificent and the set up was superb.

This kind of shows you how many people there were (this was a shot of half the arena). And there are 5 different seminar times. This was just 1.

They had all of the National Sales Directors get up and do a can can line. It was cool.
I have to say that I did not expect it to be a show. But it really was. There were different performances, of all kinds. Music and dancing with lights and fire. I swear I shook with excitement the whole time. :)

SEMINAR!! Day 1 and Manufacturing Plant

Oh my goodness! I had such a fabulous time while at Seminar. It was exactly what I needed. I learned SOO much. And I got to meet some of the most amazing women! It was such a wonder the whole time I was there. I think I had bug eyes. I soaked up everything I could!

Haha! Me and a couple other girls went the wrong way on the Subway. So we had to have a pic taken in the station.

We got to go to the MK Manufacturing plant. It was SO cool! And each department had a contest. So they created little stations. Some of them were really good.

Hehe, had to have my picture taken with "Mary Kay"

Ok the castle in this picture is made out of eyeshadow. How cool is that!

I feel pretty awesome. :)

So last night we had our Mary Kay end of the year potluck/awards night. (For those of you scratching your heads, the Mary Kay seminar year runs July-June) And each consultant's family is invited to come and see their loved one praised for a job well done. I honestly didn't expect to get anything. I was shocked to come away with what I did. I was #3 in sales for our unit. Yay! I am also Queen of Sharing. Yay!! AND..... I was voted Miss Enthusiasm. I'm proud of myself. I wasn't even in the company the full year and look what I've accomplished. Now I'm determined to do more for next year. Not just for the ribbons and prizes, but for the sense of accomplishment I feel. I've begun to make something of myself. And I never knew I was capable of doing these things. So now I know I can achieve more. And I plan to. :)

Haha. So I'm supposed to take these with me to Seminar and wear them all. At the same time! I haven't figured out how yet, but the other ladies will sure show me how. :)

Aren't these just beautiful! I can't wait to wear them. I'm saving them for seminar.

You've had a birthday, shout hooray!!

My baby is 1! I just can't believe that an entire year has gone by. She's grown and changed so much it's unreal. She has been such a blessing in all of our lives. Her sweet smile and laugh light up the room. My heart swells whenever I look at her. And she loves her big sister. She always has a smile for Savannah. And Savannah is always able to make her laugh. I'm so grateful that I was blessed to have 2 beautiful little souls to call my own. And I'm so grateful for the past year. I couldn't possibly ask for more. Or for a better life. I love my little family.
We had her party out at my Dad's house. It was a small gathering. But it was wonderful. I made a cake, of course. and we had a BBQ. Good food, good dessert and good company. Just awesome for her first birthday. :)

Evie's birthday cake. :)

My Dad's solution to lighting the candle. Of course. :)

Evie and Grandpa

Marisa was feeding Evie her birthday cake while I was dishing everyone else up.

Oh my gosh! She got this little glow bug toy. It is SUCH a big hit! It was adorable. It plays when you squeeze it and the face lights up. Evelyn hugs it, sways back and forth, and hums along with the music. It's so sweet to look at.

We're trying to encourage the whole walking thing, But she's still refusing.

Her glow bug.

She got this new outfit. It's a little big but so adorable! And as you can see, she's still got the glow bug.

Evie's Washington Birthday

So my Ma wanted to have a birthday party with Evelyn while we were there. It was so close to her birthday that it worked. It was sweet. We had family and friends come to celebrate with us. It was a simple party. We had burgers and cupcakes. But it was great!

She did NOT want to get close to the flame. Lol. So I blew out the candle for her.
