Washington #5- Silverwood #1

We went to a theme park in Athel Idaho (say that 10 times fast, lol). We had such a blast. I left Evelyn with a babysitter, so Savannah got to have an entire day with me. And I'm so happy about that. She doesn't really get just mommy time anymore.
The park has 2 sides to it. A water side and a dry side. I loved it! We started the day in the water park. It was windy so it was kinda cold. Which made it less fun. But we made the best of it. :) There's a big huge play area just for little kids that Savannah and I went through together. She didn't really like the water spraying on her head and face, but she was a trooper about it. She had a lot of fun on the water rides. Until we got dunked under water. And then she was done with the water side. But that's ok. The sun came out as we were heading to the other side of the park. The ride side. Woohoo! :)

The kids had a blast! But Savannah wouldn't go up in the jungle gym without me.

My Mother is disgusting! It's a freeze dried, salt and vinegar flavored, cricket.

And this is a Mexican flavored meal worm. Yuck yuck yuck!!!! They sell these things in the gift shop.

Savannah begged me to go on this ride, so I took her. However, that was a mistake. Before we even got to the drop off, she freaked out! Not a good thing. Poor kid.

This ride was so scary! I was hoarse by the time we were done. Really hoarse.

Washington #4- July 4th 2011

We had a good 4th of July. We did firecrackers at home and then me, the girls, and some friends drove to Cour DE Lane lake and watched the big fireworks. It was awesome. Savannah thought they were magical. Evelyn was kinda freaked out by them. But ended up falling asleep. I loved it!

Hehe. This was actually a onesie, but it was too big, so my mom and I turned it into a t-shirt.

Washington #3- Weston House

We got to spend an afternoon at my Uncle Ron's and Aunt Trudy's house. They have the coolest house! My Uncle has made SO many cool things. And they are amazing things. Each time I go there, there's more things to explore and see. I love it! Can't wait to see what new and interesting things they've got next time I get down that way.

Washington #2 -Fire Station #1

My Uncle Ron is a fire fighter in Spokane. And he's also station at the largest firehouse in the city. He told us we could come by and he would show us around. Which was just awesome! He did such an amazing job showing us around. Savannah was completely riveted by it all. I was so pleased to see her that happy. He described everything to her. It wasn't just, "come in, look around". No, he explained everything to her. Told her what everything did and why they have it. I learned so much as well. It was a special time and I'm so thankful we were able to do it.

She thought it was so cool to sit in the Ladder Truck. Uncle Ron showed her all the buttons and gadgets.

He explained what the hoses were for and what different hoses did.

Oh this was cool! He got completely dressed for her. And while he was, he told her what each part of the gear was for.

He even showed her how a fireman comes into a burning building (kneeling). Also he explained to her what to do if she saw or smelled smoke. And he put on his oxygen mask so she could hear what it sounded like. That way she would know its ok to go to a fireman and not be scared.

My uncle is also a blacksmith and he made this as a remembrance for 9/11. And it sits outside his fire station. It has the names of all the fire fighters and police officers that died that day.

They turned on the siren so she could hear it.

We were all very grateful to him and Savannah gave him a huge hug. :)

Washington!!!! #1

So me and the girls spent 16 days at my Ma's house in Spokane Washington. It was really good to see her and her husband and the girls had a great time with their Mimi. We were able to do some really cool things that we couldn't have done otherwise. There's WAY too much to put in one post so there will be lots of posts today about Washington. Be sure to look at them all. :)

My Ma made these crowns and skirts for the girls. They loved them. They really are just darling.

Evelyn just loved her Pop pop. Whenever he came in the room, she wanted him. It was so adorable!

These kids spent so much time outside. And they had a blast!
